Kasab’s lawyer in Bigg Boss 4

October 6th, 2010

Bigg Boss has sprung a shocker! Abbas Kazmi, the lawyer of 26/11 Mumbai terror attack accused Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab, has been finalised as one of the 14 contestants on the show that begins
on Sunday. “Abbas Kazmi is going into the Bigg Boss house. He wanted to clear the image of a desh drohi that’s been imposed on him, since he defended Kasab,” says a source from the channel, Colors.

Former contestants from the show have plenty to say about Kazmi’s move. Whereas Kamal R Khan, who participated in the last season, says, “I am surprised. But, he is not going to win for sure. A couple of weeks stay will get him the publicity he is looking. It may even fetch a couple of small time roles in films.” Sambhavna Seth, a former contestant, says, “I was aware that he is going, although I don’t think it’s to clear his image.”

His proposed entry has sparked a debate among fans, too. “Such people should not be given a platform to promote themselves,” says Rohan Negi 27, software professional. However, Shahdab Qureshi, 22 an IT engineer, says, “He was just doing his job as a lawyer, and now he’s reaping the benefits. No harm!”
